Château Haut-Brion Rouge

Elegant and complex, Château Haut-Brion red presents mineral aromas and a unique complexity. Its strength lays in the finish, which is surprisingly long. This aromatic persistence is due to its very noble origins.

Tasting notes

The wine is very aromatic and harmonious with incredibly
mellowed tannins and quite low acidity.
It could be assumed it will be a powerful wine, yet at the same
time one with plenty of subtlety and harmony.
Through its structure and smoothness, this wine is reminiscent
of 1959 both in terms of the weather and the volume of the harvest.

The weather

An historically early year. Throughout the period of growth, the weather was especially warm, sunny and dry. The conditions were thus ideal for budding, flowering, the véraison (onset of ripening) ripening and the harvest. An outstanding year can only produce an outstanding wine.
