2011
La Clarté de Haut-Brion
La Clarté de Haut-Brion boasts a legendary and unique kinship: made from grapes grown on the Haut-Brion terroir, it is born of two prestigious estates: Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion.
Tasting notes
Beautiful straw-yellow colour.
Very attractive, intense nose with hints of quince and pear.
Starts out very flavoursome, and then becomes somewhat tighter with a salty, mineral taste.
La Clarté is already enjoyable and balanced.
The weather
One of the characteristics of 2011 was an extremely dry spring. Based on the measured rainfall in April, May and June this was the driest spring since 1949.Happily, summer brought some rain which allowed the vine to continue its growth. With a dry September, we were able to harvest in optimal conditions.
