Château Haut-Brion Blanc
Present immediately on the nose, this wine’s power is its
dominant element from start to finish.
The richness offered by this vintage is remarkable.
But the most surprising aspect is the wine’s structure,
nearly akin to that usually found only in red wines.
Mellow above all else, it also offers a
wondrous array of aromatic notes,
with the soft nuances characteristic of Sémillon such
as honey and toasted almonds and those typical of plump,
ripe Sauvignon, including musk,
touches of muscat as well as hints of anise,
verbena and linden so similar to vine flowers.
The finish offers great depth and longevity.
Very rainy month of April. This characteristic proved remarkably useful as the month of May was dry, June normal, July normal largely due to two days of storms with very heavy rain. August was one of the driest on record and in September the downpours only began after September 25th.
